Road running is a high-risk sport. Are you aware of your physical condition and confirm that you are fit to participate?
A: Yes
B: No
If B is selected: Road running is a high-load, high-intensity, long-distance sport with certain risks. Improper exercise may cause varying degrees of physical injury or even endanger life. Therefore, participants must be in good health and have a regular running or training foundation. The following conditions are not suitable for participation: 1.Congenital or rheumatic heart disease; 2.Hypertension or cerebrovascular disease; 3.Myocarditis or other heart diseases; 4.Coronary artery disease or severe arrhythmia; 5.Chest pain of moderate intensity during mild activity; 6.Diabetes with uncontrolled high or low blood sugar; 7.Cold or fever within two weeks before the race day; 8.Excessive alcohol intake or lack of sleep the night before the race; 9.Pregnancy; 10.Other conditions unsuitable for exercise.
When should you pay the registration fee?
A: August 18 – August 25, 2025, 17:00
B: Any time before race day
If B is selected: Successful applicants must pay the registration fee before 17:00 on August 25, 2025; otherwise, the entry will be considered forfeited, and the slot will be released to waiting-list participants after 10:00 on August 26, 2025. Those on the waiting list must also pay before 17:00 on August 25, 2025, or their waiting list position will be voided.
Where are the check-in location and the race start point?
A: Check-in (Nanjing International Expo Center), Start (Olympic Sports Center)
B: Check-in (Olympic Sports Center), Start (Yanziji Riverside Park)
If B is selected: The 2025 Nanjing Marathon check-in is at Nanjing International Expo Center; the start point is at the East Gate of Nanjing Olympic Sports Center. The marathon finish is at Yanziji Riverside Park, and the mini health run finish is at the East Gate of Nanjing Olympic Sports Center.
Can another person collect the race kit on behalf of a participant (including minors)?
A: Yes
B: No
If A is selected: The race kit must be collected in person. Facial recognition technology will be used on-site to verify each participant’s identity, and any mismatch between the person and ID will result in refusal of the kit. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during check-in, and the guardian must sign the participation notice on-site. Children under 13 registering for the mini health run must have a guardian or legal representative register for the same event and accompany them for the entire race. Otherwise, they will not receive the race kit or be allowed to participate.
What should you do if you cannot collect your race kit during the designated 3-day check-in period?
A: Call the organizing committee and request delivery to the starting line on race day
B: Check the official website and apply for post-race mailing at your own expense
If A is selected: Participants who fail to collect their kit on time cannot participate. Those unable to attend the race may apply within 10 days post-race for delivery of non-perishable items (excluding bibs, chips, badges, and food). Postage costs will be borne by the participant. Check the official website for detailed instructions.
How should you handle garbage at supply stations?
A: Throw it anywhere, as cleaning staff will handle it later
B: Dispose of it in the garbage bins provided at the station
If A is selected: Proper waste disposal is a key part of ensuring marathon safety, environmental protection, and compliance, reflecting both participants’ and organizers’ shared responsibility for public safety.
What should you do if you feel unwell during the race?
A: Keep pushing through until the finish line
B: Slow down, switch to walking, take deep breaths, and withdraw if the condition doesn’t improve
If A is selected: If you feel unwell, stop running, slow down, and walk. If symptoms persist or worsen, withdraw from the race and seek help from medical staff, referees, volunteers, or police officers.
What should you do after crossing the finish line arch?
A: Leave the area quickly, walk slowly along the designated route, and collect race materials in an orderly manner
B: Stay under the arch to take photos and wait for friends
If B is selected: The finish line procedure follows the principle of “move → buffer → collect items → disperse.” This is both a strict safety requirement and a crucial step for proper recovery.
